Daytime Hunks: Young and the Restless

Who doesn’t love Young and the Restless? Another long running soap opera,  first broadcast on March 26, 1973, The Young and the Restless was originally broadcast as half-hour episodes, five times a week. So today I feature some of the hot men of Y&R.

Joshua Morrow joined THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in 1994 in the role of Nicholas Newman, son of Victor and Nikki Newman (Eric Braeden and Melody Thomas Scott) and heir to the Newman fortune.

Born in Juneau, Alaska, where his father, Kem, was stationed in the Coast Guard, Morrow moved to Oklahoma with his father and sister, Jamie, after his parents’ divorce in 1977. They later relocated to Alamogordo, N.M. when Morrow was in junior high. Morrow moved to Southern California in his senior year to live with his mom and their family. An all-around athlete, Morrow played on his junior and senior high school football, basketball, baseball, soccer, track and tennis teams.

Kristoff St. John joined THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in 1991 in the role of Neil Winters. A high-placed executive at Chancellor Industries, Neil has overcome alcoholism, and finds himself balancing family concerns, most recently with his daughter Lily’s cancer diagnosis

He made his television debut at age seven in the sitcom series “That’s My Mama,” and continued to star in series such as “Charlie & Company,” with Flip Wilson, Gladys Knight and Della Reese; “The Bad News Bears” and “The San Pedro Beach Bums.” His television credits include more than two dozen television guest starring roles such as “Suddenly Susan,” “Arliss,” “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Get Real,” “Pensacola,” “Martin,” “Living Single,” “For Your Love,” “The Cosby Show” and “Diagnosis Murder.” Additionally, he had a recurring role on “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper

Born and raised in Grand Prairie, TX, Miller attended the University of Texas in Austin where he received a communications degree and was one of only 20 students in the film department’s intensive Production Sequence while concurrently taking classes within U.T.’s drama department and Austin’s State Theatre.

After college, Miller worked as a trainee at Industry Entertainment. It was there he decided to begin acting professionally and decided to enroll in more intense acting classes. Bartending helped him pay for those classes and leveraged a second career for him as well. Miller’s company, 4M, builds and operates bars, and he hopes to open a venue in Los Angeles.

Michael Muhney joined the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in May, 2009 as the charming-yet-shady Adam Wilson (a.k.a. Victor Newman, Jr.), the prodigal son of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his ex-wife, Hope Adams.

Muhney starred as a series regular in the television series “Turks,” “The Huntress” and, most recently as Sheriff Lamb in “Veronica Mars.” His numerous television guest starring roles include “Without a Trace,” “Numb3rs,” “ER,” “Charmed,” “NCIS,” “Boomtown” and “CSI: Miami.” He also starred in the mini-series, “A Will of Their Own.”

John Driscoll joined the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in July, 2009 as army veteran Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV. Chance returned from fighting in Iraq to discover that his father Phillip III had faked his own death. Chance continues to pursue danger despite the concerns of the women in his life.
