This summer, NBC”s “Love in the Wild” returns for the show’s second season with new host Jenny McCarthy, a new location in the tropical paradise of the Dominican Republic, and even wilder adventures chock-full of surprises and dramatic twists. More hearts will be broken and catfights will abound when the new crop of singles embark on their journey to find true love.
Hosted by McCarthy (“Singled Out“), the series puts relationships to the ultimate test with exhilarating and wild adventures that challenge the participants, both physically and emotionally. Single men and single women, all looking for love, will experience a romantic adventure unlike anything they could have ever imagined. McCarthy will guide these contestants through rigorous adventures as well as the choppy waters of relationships in their quest to find love. Let’s meet some of the guys.
Born and raised in England, Benjamin Clark’s sheer charm is sure to win the hearts of the ladies and keep the men on their toes. His strategy to charm potential mates begins with a first date that involves treating them to delicious food and cold beer. The former pro soccer player currently serves as a soccer coach at his alma mater, Wingate University, and as director of coaching at Mecklenburg Union Futbol Club. In addition, he enjoys playing cricket, going to the gym and hanging out with his mates.
U.S. Marine Corps veteran Aaron Chase hopes that his training from the Marine Corps will allow him to dominate the game. He was once in a long-term serious relationship but has been living the single life for the past three years. He admits he’s been holding out for someone worth dating, someone with a big heart. Ultimately, he wants to win the game and find a fantastic girl in the process.
Though Jason Ewell cherishes his small town roots, he seeks out big adventures and larger thrills. While Ewell loves to be in a relationship, this avid surfer is not quite ready to settle down. He enjoys working out and playing basketball, but he’s not afraid to get in touch with his more sensitive side, even if it means shedding a few tears. He’s looking for a partner in crime to join him skydiving, clay shooting and traveling the country. Ewell attended San Diego State University and currently works as a sales representative and personal trainer
Darwin Zook is an all-American stud and former basketball player at University of California at Santa Cruz who knows how to strategize – and he plans to stop at nothing in order to crush the competition and find love in the wild. In addition to coaching basketball at his alma mater, Zook also played semi-pro football as a wide receiver in the Boston area while obtaining his master’s degree from Boston University.
Jesse Wilson grew up in Oakdale, California, which happens to be affectionately known as “Cowboy Capital of the World,” where there were only three stop signs, one general store and 100 people. This small-town boy went on to play semi-professional football and was voted the team captain. Wilson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from California Polytechnic State University and later received his MBA while attending American University. He currently works as a director for an Internet company.
Kenneth Barrington is a sexy bachelor who is ready to give up the Miami dating scene and share his life with someone special. The Cornell graduate who is now a successful real estate developer knows he is a good catch and is ready to settle down and start a family. An avid sports fan, Barrington enjoys golfing, fishing, spear fishing and paddle-boarding. Barrington also has a soft side and is a foster parent for the Miami-Dade Animal Shelter and provides a home and medical treatment for abandoned and/or sick puppies until they are able to be adopted. He is also a mentor for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Miami and an officer of the Barrington Foundation, which provides leadership and financial assistance to small, local, not-for-profit organizations.
As a lifeguard, surf instructor and water polo player, Mike Sweet hopes to swim laps around his competitors and dive into the hearts of the single women in the wild. He is no stranger to outdoor adventures, and his preferred first-date activity would be a breathtaking hike. An active outdoorsman, Sweet’s goal of becoming a professional beach volleyball player keeps him active and always at the beach. Sweet attended San Diego State where he was a member of the men’s crew team and the ski/snowboarding team.
Do not be fooled by Tim Parrish’s good looks and charm; he likes to play the field. He’s low maintenance and can’t stand a woman who is too girly. Parrish loves the ladies, but he loves winning even more. He’s hoping to find a girl that can make him settle down – if that’s even possible. Parrish’s ideal first date involves a combination of walking around outside, sightseeing, then grabbing a drink in a comfortable environment where he can present his charming humor. He attended St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI, where he played college basketball. Parrish currently works as a real estate agent.
