Meet Nate Parker. He graced us with his brooding bad boy presence in a breakthrough role in Denzel Washington’s ‘The Great Debaters‘(2007) as Henry Lowe. He starred alongside Forest Whittaker and Jurnee Smollett who was his love interest in the film. Before Great Debaters, he had roles in Pride (2007) and The Secret Life of Bees (2008) where he played Alicia Key’s love interest. In 2009, he starred in Blood done signed my name and Red Tails. Both movies are scheduled for release this year. No word on if he’s got any projects for 2011 but we can be sure we will be seeing more of him in print- he’s a model for GAP as well as an assistant coach for a high school wrestling team.
