One Life To Live Originally aired on ABC July 15, 1968. The show revolved around the lives of the rich and poor families of Llanview, a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. Today you can see two of main families the Buchanan’s and the Lord’s still going strong, along with new residents, as well as those who have left and returned home.
Let’s take a look at some of the hotties who are putting Llanview on the map:
Michael Easton originated the role of One Life to Live’s John McBain in October 2003. Mr. Easton relocated to New York to join the cast of OLTL following his run as the immensely popular vampire, Caleb Morley, on ABC Daytime’s Port Charles. Easton played Days of Our Lives’ Tanner Scofield from 1991-1992 and was chosen as one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” of 1992.
Josh Kelly has landed the role of Joey Buchanan. A casting call this summer referred to Joey as “mid to late 30s, extremely good-looking, successful, warm, kind, charming, finance guy.” By all accounts, Kelly appears to fit the bill quite nicely. Though Kelly has never before appeared on a soap, the actor has quite a few primetime and movie roles under his belt. Kelly is also an American hero. As a member of the United States Armed Forces, Kelly served in three tours in Afghanistan. He also served as an Army Ranger in Iraq.
Mark Lawson was preparing a business plan for a fitness facility before giving up on acting. In 2008, after reading for the role of ex-Navy SEAL, Brody on One Life to Live in LA, he took a screen test in New York and won the part after the fourth audition became his lucky break in which Lawson compared to winning the lottery! For the role of Brody, Mark was up against (ex-Jared, Passions) actor, James Stevenson. Mark is a personal trainer and ex-MMA fighter who fought in one semi-pro in 1999 and was undefeated. Mark’s favors music from Johannes Brahms to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
John Paul Lavoisier was Born John-Paul Seponski, he later changed his last name to Lavoisier after reading about Antoine Lavoisier in a science textbook in high school. John-Paul claims to be anally retentive and doesn’t like running or the suburbs.
When he landed the role of Rex Balsom his parents made t-shirts that said Dad of Rex and Mom of Rex. John- Paul’s ringtone is Quagmire from Family Guy.
David Fumero was born In Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida. Fumero is 5′ 11′ and has a tattoo on his right shoulder that says “Death before Honor” and USMC and a picture of English bulldog carrying the U.S. FLAG, The Marine Corps mascot. He spent a year serving in the United States Marine Corps and he fractured his ankle twice in boot camp. Fumero’s “Cristian Vega” first appeared in Llanview in June, 1998 and was on the show until he left the show in 2003. Fumero returned in 2004.
Tuc Watkins is a Kansas native who has built a career acting on daytime soap operas with two multi-year runs on One Life to Live, as well as extended stints on General Hospital and All My Children. In 1999, he was cast as the lead on the Showtime original series Beggars and Choosers, which was an edgy drama about the TV industry and lasted two seasons. Watkins’ first major prime-time network role came in 2007 when he scored a role on ABC’s hit comedy drama Desperate Housewives, playing one half of Wisteria Lane’s first gay couple.
